Hi! I'm TOTALLY new here! cat

I am a big fan of Athrun, and I also think that Athrun and Cagalli are very cute together!

I love drawing pictures about Gundam SEED, especially about Athrun! I have a webpage fanart-shrine thingy... dedicated to Athrun and his amazing story! I would love to know what other Athrun fans think of it, so if you have time, please have a look at Wrapped Cabbage, my website!

Ooops, I talk a lot for a newbeeee...! So sorry! ^___^

I'm just looking for some friends who love Athrun as much as me! Hope we can be friends!!!

Welcome to the boards! Cool

I'm a big fan of Athrun too! I think, most Athrun fans would become Asucaga fans, since Athrun just looks so much cuter next to Cagalli. Hahaa. He acts differently and all. Very Happy

Cool! A fan-artist! Mind giving the link to your website?

It's perfectly fine for new members to talk a lot! After all, we want to know more about you. XD

And I'm sure we'll get along just fine. Very Happy

Hiya Prince-sama ! Welcome to our humble forum. ^_^ I think you're our very first member from the African continent !

I really enjoyed reading your intro. NOOOO, you didn't talk too much, lol. Very Happy As a matter of fact, everybody here talks quite a lot (me being one of the most obsessed ones XD) So please feel free to type down as much as you feel like, k.

Aaaaah, another artist cheers. I'd adore to see your GS and Athrun drawings. But you didn't hotlink your 'shrine thingy', as you seem to like to call it so lovely Very Happy Could you do that for me and the others ? *puppy dog eyes*

Normally I'd send you a 'welcome pm', but for once I'll write down everything I have to say here. ^^
First of all I'd like to thank you for joining us ! I hope you're going to have a super time here, but I have no doubts you will Wink

If you have any question, suggestion, remark, idea, problem, or just feel like chatting (about whatever), know that you can always bother me. I'm here at your service *bows* (and not to act all god-like or nag constantly) And I'd love it for us to become good friends ^_^

Once again, thankies for joining. See ya around.

Wow, what a warm welcome!!! cat

What friendly people!

OK, my "Athrun Fanart Collection", as I have decided to call it instead of my 'webpage fanart-shrine thingy', is at http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/blommie/! And I've just updated it, so I really hope you like it!

Please let me know if you have any ideas, thoughts or requests! I'm always trying to improve the Athrun experience on my webpage, and I really love drawing requests!

Mmm, and I would LOVE to talk about Athrun! Where's the best place I can do that?

I'm happy to see you liked the welcome. ^^

Everybody here is indeed super friendly. That's what makes this forum such a great and unique place.

Very Happy That's indeed a better name, heheh. I've just checked out your site, and wow ! Really, wow. That is such a lovely site, and very professional. I've had webbuilding courses back at college, so I'm quite the critics man when it comes to seeing a good site, and yours truly is.
Good to see you have your very own style of drawing Athrun. I really like it. The style is very cute, and the themes are funny and refreshing. And it's also very nice to see the evolution of your drawingstyle. So, great job you've done so far ^_^ Can't wait to see more ! bounce
I haven't been able to check out everything yet, but I promise I surely will !

That's nice how you make request drawings. I'll keep that in mind Wink Razz

I noticed a part of that link you gave us say "blommie". Is it what I think it is: flower (or something related to it) ? Cause I know South African is very very close to Dutch, and I myself speak Dutch.

I think the Athrun Lounge is the best place for you. But don't hesitate on discovering the entire site as well ^^

Yay! cat I'm soooo glad you guys like my site!!!

@HotaruZala: Thank you so much! *hugs back* It's always great to meet another Athrun fan! Wink

Yeah, I love writing fanfiction! I have an account at Fanfiction.net (here = http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1355677/), even though my fanfics are available on my site as well. My stories aren't usually about romance (except the ones where Cagalli is involved!!!), but they are always about Athrun! Because he is just so hot! Razz

---

@Aya: Heehee, thank you very much! A good friend of mine helped me out with the technical html stuff for the webpage.

Hey, you're right about the flower part - it's a name that is related to a flower. It was the name of my aunt's cat - the "old man" of the house, Blommie. He was 16 years old when he became too sick to keep on living and had to be taken to the vet last Tuesday. We miss the poor guy a lot. Sad If you'd like to see a photo of the "old man", he's at https://2img.net/h/i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc229/Prince_Athrun/Cats/1211107469-1.jpg

---

I am overjoyed that you guys like my drawings! Making fanart just feels a whole lot more fulfilling when you have someone who can share your passion and enthusiasm for it! Thank you so much! I love you And requests and drawing ideas are always welcome!!!

Well, I'm off to the Athrun Louge to see what I can see! ^____^

Well, you can tell that friend it's a job well done ^^

So I was right, cool. When I speak in my dialect and talk about a flower, I say "een blomme". That's why I immediately saw the link. Very Happy
The "old man" of the house. Now that's an original way to call a cat. 16 years, wow ! Too bad he became sick and you had to take him to the vet. *gives a comforting hug*

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's great when you make nice artwork that you're proud of yourself. But the joy it gives when you can share it with other people and talk about is thousands of times better.

As for ideas ... Hmmm ... How about, alternative. I have this work in progress, where Kira is a Guardian Angel.

That's interesting! In Afrikaans, one would just say 'n blom for 'a flower'! It seems to be just a shortened version of the language, so at times I can almost understand when someone posts in Dutch! Cool *is proud of self*

Alternative? Sounds interesting... Please do elaborate! Very Happy

@Aya: Let's give your Afrikaans a try: Ek het 'n swart kat. Sy het 'n wit borsie en geel ogies. Sy eet graag skorsies! ^___^ Could you understand any of that?

'Athrun the Crimson samurai' sounds like a title for a really cool picture!!! Mmmm, and Athrun would look so hot with a sword!!! Razz I'm getting a picture in my head now... If you have any other ideas you'd like to add to the picture, please let me know. If all goes well, I'll start working on it tomorrow night! bounce Whoohoo, I'm excited already!!!

Ok, here goes. I have a black cat. It has a white spot on its chest and has yellow eyes. It likes eating ... I'll pass on the skorsies. I have several possible things in my mind, but I doubt too much ^_^

I'm really so glad you like my idea cheers That was the first thing that jumped into my mind, since I go to samurai training classes myself. And of course because Athrun will look really cool as THE Crimson samurai !
Don't forget to give him geta's, heheh ^^ And maybe it would be cool to have his hair tied up (partially) into one of those samurai pony-tails.

You bet it is ! But it's quite hard, both mentally and physically. Everytime I get back from training I'm all worn out for the rest of the evening Razz . And I've got a couple of scars from duel training sessions, but I don't really mind, 'cause it's one of the greatest hobbies I ever had.

I always put my hair in a tail during training, so it'd be really cool to see Athrun have one too. Oh and geta's are wooden sandals. ^^

Good question, lol. Very Happy And yeah, they are indeed more close than I first thought, wow.

But then you'd have to be prepared for the fact you might end up with a scar. ^^ Also, it's not easy to get passed through the tests that determine if you're good enough. Luckily I go to gym. If not, I think my body wouldn't have been prepared enough.

They're so cool. I have a pair at the dojo. I simply adore the clacking sound they make, and their comfort during summer.

I have all faith in ya that you'll do it perfectly ! Smile

@Aya: Scars or not, it still sounds cooool!

I have started work on the Crimson Samurai picture last night. Did the most important part - his face <3 - in line sketch. The difficult part - his body *-* - is still under construction... I wish I could start colouring him already!!!

*waltzes off to struggle with Athrun's body some more*

---

@tanth: Athrun sure likes healthy food, huh? I don't think he's the type who would go for a greasy burger and fries. Kira seems more like the junk food junkie between them, what do you think?

I love those comics! I wanna collect them all! I wish I knew where to find them - I only managed to find ten or so scattered on the internet. Doesn't matter if they're in Japanese or English, but I really want those pictures!

I could never buy so many magazines...! I'd have to order them, since they don't sell anime stuff in South Africa... T___T

Whooops, didn't mean to go nagging in your ear. I just have an obsession with chibi Athrun (and collecting Athrun stuff in general)! Razz

Cool. The face is indeed one of the harder parts. It's not always easy to draw certain facial expressions. Or when you draw OC's like I do, it's damn hard to get a good balance between the face and the type of hair you want your character to have. Eyes can be real b*tch too sometimes Razz

About the body. Depends, I'd say. Clothes can be done rather quickly. Stripped upper bodies on the other hand ... I've started working on a 'draw-out' of one of my original RPG characters. Oriya barely wears a shirt, so I have to draw his mucsled upper body, and dang, that ain't easy.

Sorry, I'm blabbing again ^^''' Good luck on your artwork (and have lotttttsaaaa fun with Athrun's body ! Wink Very Happy)

Good news! I've started on the colouring of the Crimson Samurai Athrun picture! His face and hair has all been coloured in, but the rest is still work in progress! This is one of the few (if it's not the only) full length pictures I've ever drawn of Athrun. It's difficult, but I want it to come out right!!! bounce

I agree, muscles are probably the hardest thing to draw, except for hands...!

That's indeed great news. Seems like the work is going nicely and fast. Heh, when I start colouring, I always do the face and hair first too. Razz And wow, the first (or one of the few) full length pics !

You bet they are. Especially when they are well-trained ones. But I agree that hands (and feet too) are THE most hard parts to draw. It always takes me a while to get them done properly, and even then, I'm not always pleased with the result ^^'

cheers And you did it really fast !

I really felt the tension rising when I went to your site. I was so excited to see how my idea had turned out. But from the very first second I saw the thumbnail, I knew it would look totally awesome.
And then, when I saw the pic full size, I really felt my jaw dropping and my heart pounding, followed by a loud WOW.

Samurai Athrun looks soooooo cool. The samurai pony tail fits him really good, and the headband with pink Haro is very cute.
When I saw that headband, it immediately made me think of my Guardian Angel Kira work in progress. Although it's harder to see Kira's headband because of his hair covering most of it.

Athrun, anyone? Kira%20%28%20guardian%20angel%20%29%20by%20Laurent%20Soetaert

But back to your pic. The outfit is so cool, and it fits him just as if he has never worn anything else in his life. The colour combination is very well chosen, and I love the (strong) pose ! Well, I simply love the entire pic ! bounce

Thanks so much for accepting my idea and making this wonderfull pic out of it. Oh and I've sent a mail for the b-day list, and posted in your guestbook.

I hope I haven't typed too much dumb mistakes. I have a nasty cold, so my brain is working on half capacity today XD Very Happy Very Happy

Wow, thank you so much! I'm so happy that you like it!

And WOW, you're very good! That Guardian Angel Kira pic of yours isn't finished yet and already it looks TOTALLY amazing!!! Can't wait to see the finished product! Again, you are VERY GOOD!!! WOW!!!

Heheh, I saw both the pose and the outfit for Samurai Athrun on a little Athrun figurine (which I immediately ordered upon noticing it here http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-8x-49-en-70-2ov1.html!!! ^___^) and used those for my picture. The real challenge was to get his arms, legs and head in the right proportions, since the source material was a chibi, so he had stumpy little legs and a giant head! Heeheehee!

And I should be the one thanking you! If it weren't for your suggestion, I would never have thought of drawing a picture like that!

Yay, thanks for writing in my guest book! And I'll add you to the birthday list as soon as I update again! Yay!
